The EVERYDAY LIFE collection of furnishing is enhanced with a modular sofa that creates new, versatile configurations and solutions that favour a convivial atmosphere and expand to accommodate any lifestyle. The clean lines of this modular sofa are embellished by an abundance of unexpected details with simple contrast stitching in primary tones, such as the zipper with a red tape and red leather pull, which references Paul Smith’s fashion heritage by recalling his sartorial savoir-faire, including the leather straps along the backrest, or the exposed joints recalling the Japanese cabinet-making tradition much admired by the designer. The eye is captivated by the skilful use of colour that expertly ranges from classic to vibrant with sophisticated ease, in a carefully considered palette of earthy tones and new shades, together with sustainable materials of natural origin such as hemp, kapok and recycled feathers that fill the scatter cushions.
