The Cabaça armchair, the first furniture creation by the NJ+ studio, is a tribute to the Brazilian Northeast's hinterland. Cabaça is the popular name for a hard-shelled fruit, used in decoration, as a musical instrument, in handicrafts, or even as a water bottle during times of drought in the countryside. It was in the plurality of its function, the strength of its symbolism, and the delicacy of its form that Nildo sought inspiration for the creation of the armchair.
